but again the H1B visa program is a glorified effort to bring in cheap labor.
in my own state the H1B visa recipients are paid half of what a high tech employee in the same job. And in my experience the programmers and technicians, are unskilled cousins or friends of other H1B recipients. It tends to expand a cultural gap in companies, and it's a complete bastardization of the intent of the program.
there should be a requirement that the Visa recipient be paid more than Prevailing wage, since they are supposed to be bringing "needed skills". This is actually more supply side bias in our economy.
You know, I'm an old I.T. Worker... And I know I just have a bias... but it is just a reason to bring in cheep labor by corporations. And these used to be good American jobs, and now most of them are call center jobs that people are scraping by on.
Financial history doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes. You can't be stupid enough to trade off anything I say.... I'm lucky they let me out of the straight-jacket long enough to trade.
