Financial history doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes. You can't be stupid enough to trade off anything I say.... I'm lucky they let me out of the straight-jacket long enough to trade.

Interesting topic. The Dutch and their dyke maintainance came up on a news show recently. If they fail, all property and wealth is gone. Being rich is no protection... in fact, the wealthy may have MORE to lose since the fast food workers can just cross over to Belgium when the deluge comes.

The article brings up the interesting issue of population growth. Every kid born needs to be fed, vaccinated and educated and the burden is borne by all of us. The pay-off is that those kids will support us in our old age in the form of Social Security payments.

One says that "resources are limited"

when we talk about resources we are actually talking about "energy"..

we have yet completely tapped our energy potential. We have many options..
