These are 2 documentaries, I'm almost done with:

This one is Amazing, besides covering the Medici family, it does an amazing job of talking in detail Florence as the epicenter of one of the greatest turns moves in human social evolution at the beginning of "The Age of Reason"
Moreover, the theme of how a "banking Family" affected and helped to bring this revolution into being. From; Brunelleschi in engineering, To Da Vinci, Botticelli, Michelangelo in art, To Machiavelli and Galileo.

Well worth getting from Netflix... or from your local library....
