Financial history doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes. You can't be stupid enough to trade off anything I say.... I'm lucky they let me out of the straight-jacket long enough to trade.

little rant

I just heard some stuff about mecury retrograde...

after looking at the carts and seeing the symetrical triangle... that every sense says breaks in a down direction..

but... it just reminded me of the overall bullshit in corporate america.... I don't know about where Y'all went to college, but where I went, the dumbest people got buisness degrees... well just ahead of sociology degrees.

I had a few discussions with some friends this weekend. I was pointing out that most low level CEO's are morons.

I used to do some work for this CEO who also was one of those Consultants, with lots of "new Age" plans to run companies in "Revolutionary" ways. I used to spend most of my time, explaining how to be proactive and not reactive, and constantly running them through the numbers to explain how they were flushing tons of money down the toilet. Stopping them from throwing dollars down the toilet chasing dimes. Point being, its fun to play "cutting edge" but if you don't have your fundimentals in line you are just blowing "purple smoke".

Morning Eric,

I am just wondering what "good news" drives the futures up to 150 for Dow.

Come on, I am not bearish but people should look at the fact - the bonds insurer are at risk being downgraded, Wal mart says customers are more cautious in their spending..

Morning Melissa,

It has me stumped... seems like a rally to sell, the skf is up 4% off of it's Friday close right now.

Only think I can think of is that the market thinks the "Split" in the monolines is good... except that it's the worst thing for the financials...

Monolines need to sell the good assets to cover the bad ones....seems straightforward to me.

I'm overall bearish, but that doesn't mean there arn't stocks one can own at this level....

Natural gas looks interesting.
