Financial history doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes. You can't be stupid enough to trade off anything I say.... I'm lucky they let me out of the straight-jacket long enough to trade.

Great question

This chart is based on S&P research of recessions from 1940-now.... Interesting thing, I'd be curious about super cycle performance.

I'll skip out on looking through the rest of the sectors, because obviously they are all getting hit hard. If you notice Financial are listed twice. From what I've seen, what happens is that in that first section, they Bottom.... but then they Range trade Till the first part of the bull cycle.

I'll also point out that Technology is way down on the list, Those Talking technology, on a non stock by stock basis.... are Fools...

There are variables depending on the type of recession.

Tony asked me a question about sector performance in the 90's... This Set my mind in motion... I'm not interested in the 90's... but what I'd be Super curious is to see a sector by sector breakout of 73-83....

Unfortunately... I can't find reliable source data... so I've been working on it. Even worse is the idea I'll have to index 5 stocks, and grind out that data.
