Financial history doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes. You can't be stupid enough to trade off anything I say.... I'm lucky they let me out of the straight-jacket long enough to trade.

Nerves

So, traderfeed, I'm not going to link it, for technical reasons I can't go into.

But he points out that "Chasing Panic" these days.... Isn't working. and hints at the ramification of the oil market. I thought it was interesting.

I'm still cranky for some reason. It's probably because I was having such a nice weekend and we are back to the swinging 400 pt market nightmare, And I just want to watch cartoons.

Also, for some reason I'm getting off being a bullshit hedger. I actually have some good bets on what is about to happen. But I feel like being a Hedger.

Just keep looking for us to build a base.

Either that or my negative mojo says, the unthinkable..

My guess is I'm just in a mood.

There are a ton of headwinds, Employment on thursday, NFP, expiration of the short rule that same week.

I say sideways with a weak new low or double bottom at the NFP....

and maybe a nice rocket ride to 12k.

I'm going to be watching for a higher low tomorrow.

"Bad things await us in 10 days."
The oracle has spoken :)

Until then, chop around.

I can't believe how quickly everything gets oversold and overbought. What works today, won't work tomorrow. Hard to plan anything at all.

Hope your mood improves, and soon. You don't post as much :(

This is offtopic but I find this guy very funny (at times):
http://maddox.xmission.com/

I only bring it up because he's also in Utah. Your writing style is weirdly similar, in some ways.

Nonsense,

but let me add to the perfect storm, the second week of october is "Warning Season", and the next week is Financials reporting, and Options expiration week.

by the time all that is done with, we will all be institutionalized.

The only thing I would have posted today was bile.

Are you serious? Is Utah that small? or what a coincidence!

Do you know Britney Spears?

You have to grow up here in Utah, to appreciate the full on lunacy of humanity.

Did you know that this is the "Fraud Capital of the United states"

Most of those frauds are caused by some 'member' who uses "The Church" to gain confidence, and Fleece the other members.

Insurance is a huge game here, Usually the "higher ups" in our government, are involved in insurance as well as most the "church Leadership", Sometimes they use "church Influence" to convince people to not make Claims, and Use church Labor to fix some "problem" if it has to be fixed.

I could go on and on...

tradewell said...

I've heard something about the church, yes.

So you grew up in Utah?

Utah is poulation 2.5 million, Half live out side Ogden to provo.

Within 50 miles north and south of my home is 1.25 million people.

Of the just under 1 million in My County. 50 percent arn't mormon, 2-3% are in my demographic, 30 year olds non mormon, male.

That is only 15K sample, Also him being one of my "Peers" in the I.T. Game.

That is maybe 500-1K IT people. For him to be 2 degrees of separation from me.... Easy math.

Well it's strange that I came across both of you. If I find another Utahan(?) it'll be freaky.

How long have you been trading?

Eric said...

Trading... It depends on what the definition of trading is.

it wasn't until late 06, that I felt as thought I needed to be an "aggressive investor".

But I also feel as though I've always been "Aggressive". and looked for the greatest MOMO stocks. The thing is, I For the most part I realized I could just "naturally read the Patterns"

but like you, I used to "Work" more, The nice thing is that a Recession tends to reduce the amount of work. that and having the Option to not be desperate for work... Helps.

and I grew up in Colorado, till I was about 12. But My family Is locally Inbred.
