Financial history doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes. You can't be stupid enough to trade off anything I say.... I'm lucky they let me out of the straight-jacket long enough to trade.

DJIA within two points of Nov low, high volume, hugely neg A/D line.

But it still doesn't "feel" like capitulation.

T.Lo's sentiment indicator should flip to bullish tomorrow unless something really turns around intraday.

Barry's sentiment read has been bullish for a week now. He was too early.

Barry is too early by 4 months.

I think they fired their technician.

We neither have despair nor panic..

this is complacency...

I'm wondering if we will need both Despair.... and then panic.

Is complacency part of discouragement?

Factors LEADING to a major bottom:

Widespred conviction that "worst is past", Bear market bounces that keep investors "Hopefull".

Then a surrender, in a fresh slide, that goes on like "chinese water torture"(is that this slide or not?).... (these bounces cause complacency)

Then we will get a Give up phase, things are getting worse and will probably get worse tomorrow.

But you know... I could be wrong.

I tell you what is interestingly complacent... as a Percentage, at this level 250 pts is like 500 would have been at 14000.

What is interesting.. is that all the volatility has been to the downside. We haven't had a 200 pt upday... for a while... and if we had one there are maybe 2 in the past 2 months.
