Some guy saying Bid .50c on the dollar on a cdo but the ask is .80.
Now... Let me explain, just cause you are paying .50 doesn't mean that is the market price. but with a bid ask of .50/.80... it' means it's in that range...
Just as you say it's not .80 just because the banks say it is.
doesn't make it .50 because you say it is.
