For the most part, if one said a Pattern was breaking down, I would say, the AScending Triangle from the morning "Broke down" this afternoon. Just as the "head and shoulders" broke down, last weak.
Meaning that the pattern Failed.
but, as a .... attempt to be specific, the head of the Head and shoulders had to be violated... so maybe that Head and shoulders didn't break down.
