Sure the financals will sell off, and hopefully they will "Outperform" a declining market.... what ever that means.
The game will be to make the Financials sell off, and the market will fall. Then they will Rally. And the market will go up... but the market won't outperform the financials, It will underperformed each time....
That way the financials can stay sort of range bound, and decline in volatility. and the market can still sell off.
and other things I'm probably wrong about.
