Financial history doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes. You can't be stupid enough to trade off anything I say.... I'm lucky they let me out of the straight-jacket long enough to trade.

Ugh

I keep saying .... the market is killing my Joy!! and here is another example. It takes me an hour to put this together.... And I don't have against You, but I don't actually care enough enough to burn this time on it. But my ego is caught in it.

Tony knows I hate him, so he is outside the issue.... Just for your amusement, I was angry last friday..... mostly because I knew "The Dance was going to Continue", and I'm twice as tired as anyone else is.... and let me just mention that I'm adding this post to all the things on my plate.
On tuesday I noticed, that FINALLY we had a GOOD TECHNICAL SELL, on the market. THIS DOESN'T COUNT THE INDEX, But stock by stock... sector by sector, I felt it would start.
Now I'm looking back, to verify what I said, What I've seen suggests to me that it will be sooner rather than later, for the breakdown. Normally I'd say 4 bar domed top starting Tuesday, but it seems like it will be faster.

Even Worse is the VILE BILE put into my system every time I tune into CNBC... It's LIKE DYING EVERY MINUTE I WATCH... IT'S EVERYTHING WRONG IN OUR SOCIETY, AND EVERYTHING GONE WRONG ETHICALLY, and everything that we will correct over the next Socio-economic cycles. There is no chance, I'll watch it today.... I DID MY TIME!!!

Consumer Staples-sure it's a safety sector, but of course this and XLU were Leadership last week

Materials Last new high was Monday.
No new high since monday
Metals

and the industrials are now Struggling, though they maded a new high, they are struggling with the SAR.

Here is Schroedinger's Cat The upside breakout, and the downside. The technicals I see, suggest a final High Yesterday or Thursday.. today. Then a little bit of struggle. They all picked up their Calls and are waiting through expiration to cash them in... It's only next week.... the price is cheap... But this is going to force Mean reversion next week. and that should set the downtrend. I think the standard thing would be to hang onto the calls until Monday, but I think it is going to Fuck with them. They will wish they were selling them end of this week.
But still, over the next 1-3 trading sessions, I expect the rest of the indexes to make their Final Highs.

No new high out of IYR(I actually expect it to be one of the last to make a new high though, This is a wave 4)
Barely a new high out of energy, it seemed fairly Euphoric today.
No new high out of health care.

Good old CNBC

Here is some CNBC beauty

Here is a beautiful one, today

The story is, that cnbc has a story about wamu, and and "It's the most read on CNBC'.... I want to point out that there is "Always a most read story on CNBC"... SO THAT ISN'T NEWS...

But get a load of the fact, they pull out the author like an analyst, and the guy can barely keep his mouth closed.

This is Unremarkable, except the stupidity. there are moments where CNBC would be better just turning to a Tick chart of the market.

Load into EEM.... aparently

Anyone get the Impression that Jordan Kotic has this slot, because his name rhymes.

His thesis is one of Breadth:
12% of "International stocks" are at New highs,
14% within 1% of new highs
58% within 5% of new highs.

Tony was making fun of T.A. Today.
You see, one can make another case; that good Breadth would be that when the U.S. is even with the new highs, the "International Breadth" and that Breadth being good, 58% should be within 1%.

Otherwise, it's weakening breadth. Jordan makes the case that "It's a coilded spring" of breadth, since any moment, they will catch up....

Problem is, they will still be Lagging U.S. Markets.

The other funny thing was as the market closed, My new Favorite, Simon drew parallels between Emerging markets and the nazdaq bubble at the close....

I guess he didn't watch the Tick By tick

LOL

That is the Last time I trade with Joe Teranova!!!

It was all fine, things were going great, Then OLD JOE comes out and calls the Double top. I also saw some other places doing exactly the same thing. Like I said, the technicals seem to have turned, but the problem is Too Many People Know it.

So now!!! old Joe TeraNova gets a red hot poker up his ass. We have a sort of contraction. I'd also like to point out, that we do keep testing out that uptrend line in white... "more times tested, more likely to break." I would say that the standard thing would be for this to breaking to the downside.....

But it seems like Sentiment wise.... We need to shove it up Old Joe's Ass... so I threw out the targets of the sort of Ascending we have there.... Technicals say one thing, and sentiment suggests a small little breakout to the upside still.... just to make them Sweat.

You fucked it, you Ignorant Schmuck... havn't you ever heard of Heisenberg!!!!! You have Killed Schrodinger's Cat(ok, this reference is sort of a stretch, though I can say that if I'm talking about both my models, one breaking up, one breaking down.... It's the Cat.The problem with my reference is that the observer, doesn't Kill the cat.)

Well

I think that was it, .... very good chance. You may want to watch ...

You know... you want to see the next Upswing......

Kudlow says

Seems like, nothing but blue skies.... and there are more rich people.... and that is good for america.... Whoohoooo
he seems excited.

I may even be able to make a case for a dance

One issue

is there is a 5 pt difference on the Breakout on the SPX vs the SPY

Tony pointed out how sure they are, about the breakout... it's not the worst setup for a Double top... but with a big enough purple crayon, it's hard to trade that kind of pain.

What would be good to see..

Is a BIG FAT HEAD AND SHOULDERS ABOVE THAT GREEN LINE. This isn't a bad left shoulder.

Very exciting

it's the big breakout.... I'll be looking for the reversal pattern.

Grinding

We should spend the day, grinding on the 60 minute 20EMA

This is also the "Shit Sandwich" trade from the 5-20ema to the 60-20ema..

So that should be the game today.

Morning

Well.... Fuck....

I'm reading some very stupid shit, this morning...

We may be there...

I guess I have to turn on CNBC

Q Factor, and some Charts.. And the usual Bullshit.

I'm still working on increasing the Q factor in my life, I'm trying to get "Real Work" done while, watching the market bullshit, trying to keep track of the "macro... nonsense".

I have done a ton of charts, for this blog, over the past few days. Been fairly straight forward. I'm not psyched about reading back through the past few days, to make sure my cognitive dissonance, isn't getting the best of me.
My goal is to update you on the technicals, I feel like i've been off on sentiment... I suspect I warned you a few sessions back. The other thing is that, there is a combination of "technicals" and the sentiment. I'm very positive, that I have warned about the Technicals. That is what I'm here to do again. The Tuesday Sell off, was just a pull back from the old highs.... That is all you can take it as. When I do wave counts, I have the end of Wave 3. Like I say, I've spent my entire time in EWT, waiting for a Final wave.

We have this large Wedge, off of this "Wave 3", The normal game is to Watch the breakout, and see what happens, See how much conviction there is on the sell side. This suggests we might get a "Down Bar" on the Daily. I've said that before, and been wrong.

Here is the Vic2 B, off of "Wave 3". Now all this is, is a Pullback, off of the old highs. They had a target of the old highs, it sells off, and then we see if we can push above it. This is the same Fucking Game we have played at ever one of the "old Highs", Will it be different this time? Your guess is as good as mine. My point is that there is nothing remarkable about the sell off.

For the past few days, the question has been "When will the rotation start, out of them", I suggested that it would start last friday, and that this was the start of a 4 day or 6 day, rotation out of them. There has been slight rotation, But I think that I can say, Based on pure Technicals, that the rotation should be starting now, I expect "Some kind of final top" in the next 3 days, this also matches my Pivot of Friday or monday.

There is certainly a chance that Tuesday was it. Honestly it's the 'Double Top' randancing, that has me, I just refuse to do it. I could be wrong... I could miss some of the move this time. I'm not ready to get aggressive with this yet. But the indicators I have now say "It has started", but not quite finished. and this sort of matches my Wave 4 into our final Top, in the next few days.

I'm just going to stick with it.

Honestly, I didn't watch the idiot box yesterday, and maybe the Cisco news had everyone everyone euphoric.

Through my contact with my clients, in the past few weeks. They were fairly optimistic last Fall. Sure there is some seasonality to it, but many of my clients, I talk to at the same time of the year. There are specific projects that happen right now, so the seasonality, should be normal in my sample.
But most of them are not optimistic. The question has been "Is this like 2004", and for Fuck Sakes.... I don't see it, I was thinking about 2004-2005, as far as I was concerned, those were Salad days.

All that seems to have happened, is that "Things were Nasty" and they picked up, but they still don't seem to be all that good. They aren't thinking about expansion, what they are thinking about, is trying to kick the can down the road, and keep things going....

Many of the projects I have been doing, deal with marketing. It seems like what they are interested in doing, is trying to get more work. Is that another part of the inventory restocking?

The best things in life

You are going to hate this one...

If I don't get, everyone I talk to, into deep Meditation.......

You are not trying hard enough.....

LOL....

The Best things in life.
  1. At the top of the list of the best are things that we can't understand.
  2. Then come the things we can think about, but cannot Explain.
  3. The third best things, are what we talk about.

we do now have

A very nice shooting star going in the Candle sticks. The caution, I would pose is that it's roughly a "double top".

And it's always a Double top, until makes a downbar, and then we see the next "Up Bar"

Miserable Predictions

They don't make it easy. Obviously your setup is the V2b over yesterday's high.

Shit! the question I had about sentiment was if "They were Dancing", and not being sure if they were there or not. My TV is still off, and I'm not apt to turn it on, and find out.

The hard part is that you don't know if this pull back is just a pullback from the "old Highs" as a target.

At this point... if I'm doing wave counts, I can't exclude this position as the top of a "Wave 3"

and that we still need a Wave 4 and Wave 5.

They don't make it easy... I'm just admitting to being in the dark on this one. The only decent sign I have had, is the High Sentiment...
the Bull Bull Debate on TV continues....
I'll also use one of the Mamis indicators, That there is definitely a sense that "we shouldn't be buying this" but still are.

My official dance on friday was, that we needed a few bars, Some kind of 4-5 bars of reversal. I can say it seems like a top is forming, but I'm still not sure it's here. I feel like Brian, we will know later if "this was the top"

the crystal ball they issued me, is mirky I still anticipate a larger correction before a "good top" this one little downbar, this morning on the 30 Min or the 15 Min... seems slight to me....

*shrug*

THE HERO WITH A THOUSAND FACES

Furthermore, we have not even to risk the adventure alone,

for the heroes of all time have gone before us.

The labyrinth is thoroughly known.

We have only to follow the thread of the hero path,
and where we had thought to find an abomination,
we shall find a god.

And where we had thought to slay another,
we shall slay ourselves.

Where we had thought to travel outward
we will come to the center of our own existence.

And where we had thought to be alone,
we will be with all the world.

-Joseph Campbell

Expectation

Futures are trading at the white arrow. I expect us to trade down to the white arrow, then have "Some form of bounce. This suggests that people will come in and sell the market, then we will bounce, through much of the morning.

I would then expect, some kind of break of that line.... Then we should get, some kind of upbar, on the daily.

1980's price distributions for Gold

It's hard to take the 1980 gold price, and make that one data point, into an argument about "normalized Gold Price". There was a Jan spike and it was $850
But if I do a rough linear regression(I didn't run the numbers), even if you do, a regression of the price from Jan of 1980, you get $675, and not $850, and what is that 30% off the "peak", Any broader look at distributions in Gold price, are more in the $400 range, than they are in the $800 range.

The argument is this.

The inflation-adjusted price of gold in Jan, 1980 was $2300 of today’s dollars. We are now 50% below that peak.

But if you are talking about half that price, or even $500 as a peak Average price, which gold averaged for 2 years. it's .6 of the peak, which would give you $1380 as an average price, You are still within, 20% of that price. and if you liken $400 to current prices, you are well within the model, with a current price of $1150. Matching the $400 1980 price.

And all of that assumes that "This time" will mirror, last time, in your Socio-Economic Pricing model.

All of this, out of something that, they continue to find more of, and that is not consumed.

You know this game, sesame street which one isn't like the other.

Now explain to me.... I ask in my Didactic way.

Why would these be the same?

Feels like a downswing to me.

We had "The full Monty" yesterday, Which included, The usual suspects, coming out and saying "We are going much higher.", We had the "BULL Vs. BULL" Debates.

Regardless of if that might be true, "Its worth a Downswing."

"On what Time Frame?" you ask.

I would think, we could at least test that Big Wedge. With 105million volume, yesterday, I have to admit that for some reason I don't have clean Volume data for yesterday, but I think 105M is close. We should be able to test the other side of this, At least.

I would also suggest that we need to break out of it, and we will see how it handles. This could be the First Lower low, followed by a lower high. Or this is "Wave 4", then we can build a top, end of the week.

Let me also end this post by saying Options expiration is next week, and this Friday/Monday would be an excellent "pivot" point, using my historic models....

But Everything feels like "Everyone is all in" waiting for either Options expiration, or in anticipation of the "BreakOut"....

Time for the "FakeOut"

Monday, March 8, 2010

my expectation

I swear we have had a ton of Bull vs Bull debates Today.

I thought we would get a downbar on the daily, just enough to suck people into the Bear, then in ensuing days, make another high, to shake them out.

So, caution if we get a sell off, it's a trading position. IMO

Pullback, then more development of a 2-4 bar consolidating top.

so

There is sort of a Head and shoulders on a linear regression. I'm not sure if they are "Dancing" on TV... they seem very bullish.

Gun to my head, this is the start of the rotation, out of stocks and sectors. there could still be some new highs out of the Broader indexes.

Seems like Mom and Pop, rolled in and purchased the top tick....

Overnight

In Asia, I didn't watch trading, but they repeatedly used the word Euphoric. I would have liked to have some other confirmation.

Apparently, it's clear sailing...According to the last talking head No worries about Greece, Smooth sailing.... nothing but blue skies...

Or it won't be that easy.

Good news

Over night, the only bears I had on my list..... Besides a skeptical news story or two(ugh). Capitulated, started making a possible Bull case.

Damn near as good as it takes, and seems good enough for some kind of pull back.

I doubt any rally will last longer than the first hour.

Grain of salt.

For some reason, I'm feeling Lousy right now. It's spring, and I'm trying to get back from being a winter Lump of Shit.

  • Work Stress
  • Trading Stress
  • Life Stress
  • managed Diet.
Historically I'm a very fit guy, and through this, Trading crap, this has changed, I decided either my health had to change, or I had to quit this nonsense. The Quality of my life has not gone up in the past years, shall we say. So, I'm forcing things to the breaking point... and we are going to see what gives. Lets hope that trading becomes more manageable, or not and I just find some kind of Satisfaction with Life, either in or out of trading.

So, with that "caveat emptor" in place. This is what I have to say. I see very meager "Sell" indicators. Short Term... I'll say exactly what everyone else says, we are overbought.
  • Things are at their Bollinger bands
  • I have some Wave counts that look "Good", maybe not great, but good for a top. This just means that in the Bullshit world of EWT, this could be it, or we Extend.

The top 2, Above are good for an intermediate reversal, and oversold short term. They are the Vix, Daily and intra-day. Plenty of your usual oscillators, and indicators short term "OverCooked"

We will see how it trades, but.... I don't yet have a Clean MACD on all Time Frames(75% are in MACD divergence). I don't see a Reversal pattern yet. "Maybe" a left shoulder... This isn't a bad "Wave 5"... I hate Wave 2.
I'd add the Utilities, That they are Performing, and not under-performing. Doesn't seem Like a good sign.

As much as YOU MAY THINK, I'M SELLING YOU ON THE BEAR CASE, I'M NOT!

I point this stuff out, NOT AS CONFIRMATION BIAS, as you may perceive but as, the only bearish "HINTS" I can find.
  • Sure, short term overbought, but
  • statistical objective Sentiments are not Optimistic IIAA Etc.. but I will also say that these come out early to mid week. And are not reliable "Daily", and we may see something very different when they come out, but they do not point to even a moderate bear case.
  • I'm not seeing Weakening Breadth, or the usual divergences, there are maybe 2 sectors that are still on sell.
Due to my "Forward" in this post, where I point out my current deficits, I have to push the "Margin of Error" for my personal DSI indicator, out 20%, maybe even 30%

This isn't 'Perfect sentiment"
  • I have people calling, Top, most of them Based on the VIX. Not only do you have that chart, but it's a HUGE SPIKE.
  • Normally in a "top" people won't say "overbought", usually the group-think is so bullish we can't even see "overbought"
  • We also don't have my favorite indicator, where it's Very Bearish technically, and they can't see it. (I guess, that is, unless It's here, and I can't see it?. I see short term, but not the longer term)
I spent the afternoon, pulling my sentiment indicator back to 9 from what I thought last night was a 9.5. This could be because people have become more lucid over the weekend. I'm sure we aren't a 10, or the Holy Grail, The 12.... (there is no 11 on the DSI(my indicator)). I'm also warning that i'm not feeling well, so it could be anywhere from 7-9. I doubt a 7... but what do I know?

Maybe this just sets up the perfect "Fade" of me, It kind of sounds like fun, that even I'm mixed up this time.

But I wen't through the charts, Hundreds of them(Ok, I'm being dramatic 60).... and it's close, but not it. Maybe Breadth starts to weaken here. The QQQQ, It looks like it could have topped. So, maybe this is where the Divergences; Stock by Stock/Sector by Sector start.

I have to stick with my "Call on the Field of Battle",
that what you are looking for is:

  • Maybe 4 bars this week, of stalling. as the market "builds a Top"
  • Or we get some kind of vic2b above Friday's high.
  • My sentiment indicator is, High probability it's a 9, but there is a decent chance it's a 7-8. Hard to be definitive.
  • The other thing is, Sure they are Excited sentiment wise, But... are they Euphoric? Not only are they happy, but Do they seem like they want to dance?

Updates

It's been a long day.

I said I was going to give out an update on my sentiment indicator.

I'm not sure I can give out a 10 on sentiment. In fact, I have to stick with a 9 here.

I can't even give the 9.5 I was thinking about this morning.

It's hard to parse out a .5

so it's within the margin of error.

Of course the margin of error is probably 2 points on my indicator... so, take it for the garbage that it is.

Maybe my hedging here is worth the additional point or two.

My local paper, on friday said "it's all about jobs"

I was hoping for some kind of Market talk, out of my front page, but no dice.

I'm on a Billy Joel thing.

DSI indicator

I realized, I've done my usual word drool this morning.

At this point, i'm giving it a 9.5 on my Sentiment indicator.

  • The median opinion is:
Breakout, then get short.

  • I do have some people "Calling it". They are few, and they aren't Schlubs

  • Emotions on that move, were Huge!!!

  • What I don't have is the, "All the technicals say reversal, but nobody can see it."

We have seen Sentiment be More Bullish, so... There you have it, My complete read. I will look at it on Sunday, and see what else there is, see how they feel after some time to digest it. maybe I'll even do some charts.

I'm in a Billy Joel mood today.

Figured I'd share this. I was hoping for one with video, but...

I guess you will have to turn the other music off to get it.

Failure is an option

I think it's a sign of our Society,

This is Bill Moyers Journal this weekend. Sorry, I can't embed it. The second part talks about single payer healthcare.
I'm not excited about talking about the proposals. What I do want to talk about, is the lack of willingness to fail. Why wouldn't you put together a Great Bill, that is The solution, and make them vote on it. When did it become such an Egregious mistake, to Fail. Why can't you put people on the record.

I always like to break things down, and move back to Nature. There you are, on the African savanna, If you go head to head with a Lion, or even a Bear, you will lose. BUT, the lion or bear does not want to fight. Why? because in the fight, you may Break some of a Lion's bones, or you may be able to Mame the bear, and suddenly the cost benefit analysis, doesn't look so promising for that predator. The same is true for the High School Bully, they will make fun of you, as long as you take it, it's not until you put up a fight, and it's not easy. At this point, it is much easier to prey on the weaker. You may not win, but just putting up a fight, you can win, and keep the predators away.

When Congress, stops allowing things to go to a vote, when you stop the fight, before it has started, when you don't "Open the Kimono", we all lose. For some reason in our society, losing stopped being an option. Make them sign on the line that is Dotted. Make those that fear going on the record, obstructing... What ever it is... Make them 'Hit the Button'

As the Fred friendly quote at the end points out:
...I kept thinking of the late Fred Friendly, a pioneer in broadcast journalism and my friend and mentor. Fred used to talk about how argument and discussion should make the agony of decision making so intense you can only escape by thinking.
Not having the Argument, or the debate through legislation, We are robbed of something, It makes it too easy for the Ignorant, to hide behind their Ideology, and Ignorance.
CRY HAVOC AND LET LOOSE THE DOGS OF WAR-Shakespeare
If you are not willing to have the fight, then obviously you didn't believe in it, enough to make it happen.

If you watch the entire episode, including the previous un-included segment. It's obvious how broken our system is, how many viscous circles it's in. Let the insurance companies try and make 20-30 year olds, be the only people who can afford to be covered, there is no problem, with letting the system break down, and finally calling the wrecker, and having it towed away.

If anyone had any sense, they would force both the Hospitals and the insurance companies, into a corner, Set them in motion a Death Spiral, and let them chose to survive, or not, they do have much better resources for problem solving, than government, ever will. It's obvious to me, that the corporations involved are caught in the, corporate strategy, provide high cost product, of no or limited value, and pray that nobody catches on, Then wonder why it wasn't sustainable. It's like a Classic Lotto Ticket, or even Legalized Extortion...

This isn't particularly the issue I wanted to hit, Most of my intent was to suggest that, there is nothing wrong with Failure.

"You want to Live!!! it will cost you every dime you will ever make!" and of course we pay it, regardless of the real cost of the service.

But the real question, to think about, is why is it so hard to Fail. Sometimes the fight is more important than the win.

Which also reminds me of my, being called a Terrorist for using Bit.Ly.... I kicked the shit out of that guy.

Let's Get it on!

I've had a nap....

I'm ready to trade again.

More sentiment

I have, a couple papers saying " Stocks poised extend trend, on jobs data, consumer credit"

My local paper said this morning "It's all about Jobs", and I may get a saturday or sunday ultra bullish, "jobs data better than expected."

I have, tons of capitulation by everyone.

One of the real questions I've been trying to answer, for my own models, on this run is How high does sentiment have to get to have a turn.

On my DSI ™ indicator. we have had some 8-9s, and at this point I have to say we finally have a 9-10. I will need to look at the weekend samples, Maybe I can give a definitive 10 or the elusive 11.

Don't take this personal, Cause I don't know who you are...

BUT FUCK YOU!

Sorry about that, it's been a long week, and to add more joy to my week. I was called a terrorist today, Those of you who know me, sure you are convinced that it's true.

But
....like the litany Ad Hominem Hyperbole, much used in our society these days, as though we are praying to our fascist gods. ... are we really moving to the age of McCarthy?

Grow the fuck up.

Chart talk

Now that I managed a nap after a long week. SLIM BEAR PICKINGS! we are honestly still looking for an inside day, Then some follow through. THAT IS WHEN WE GET AGGRESSIVE.

All I can say, The only Bearish thing I have is:
  • MASSIVE BULLISH SENTIMENT, WITH ZERO TECHNICALS TO BACK IT UP,
  • and THAT THE OBVIOUS THING IS FOR US TO DO THE BREAKOUT REVERSAL ON THE OLD HIGHS... JUST LIKE EVERY time.(and being some kind of contarian... because personally, i'm sure this is what is going to happen... so fucking sure... i had to be short at the close)

'Coiled like a spring, maria!' (Maria(Who I have Renamed Snookey BTW)... I'll show you a Coiled Spring..... IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. (I have to let Tony have Trish, and he still doesn't get my Little house on the Prairie thing with Melisssa F, and there is this Cleft Palette thing I cant get over with Mellisa Lee, I mean; I can hear it, and see, that the lip reconstruction was good, but not that good. ))

'breakout, in the news', they have been wet about this ..."Range" for a week... I mean... COME ON!!!

'massive V recovery'

Bears are headscratching. Even doug Kass, who I assumed would be on my side at the close, was ... wishing his dick was smaller... which is a ROCKING good Indicator. He was even short Bonds and got sideways with them.

I honestly don't think one person has the balls to be short. Which was why I had to have some shorts on at the close. I wanted to play some kind of short term reversal twice today, and she wouldn't give an inch, though I managed 50% today. Meaning (2 wins, 2 losses. 2 let's pretend that didn't happen.)The wins were basically playing back to the Linda Buys. AND ENDING ON THE HIGHS, IS JUST LIKE ENDING ON THE LOWS, IT'S AN AUTO BUY or sell depending on the case.

it's a good; read the paper weekend, and mom and pop put their money to work on monday top.

Honestly, i think there is a pullback on sentiment alone here, but then new highs shortly after, then we can have both bullish sentiment and technicals. Because technically, I have nothing but hope, but it feels like one of those Bottom falls out, just to trap them AGAIN!!! trades. Sort of a Vic 2 B on this high, after a Pull Back.

EVEN BEST CASE... that this is "Near a Top", it still needs to grind for about 4 more bars.

There is always tomorrow

I HATE THEM!!!!!

well, sat in my chair all day, made $134, Could have made that at Mcdonalds or Seven Eleven.. and wouldn't have had to read all morning, or stress all day....

or... I could have worked.....

you know JOBS!!!! where asshole Clients Stiff you... because the Economy is ROCKING!!! when a client you have had for 5 years stiffs you on $75 that took half a fucking day.

But I digress....

After being a hump all day....

Apparently stocks are COILED LIKE A SPRING!!! AND WE ARE ON BREAKOUTS!!!! AND ALL KINDS OF GAY SHIT, BY MARKET DUMB ASSES....

THE ECONOMY IS GREAT.... NOTHING TO SEE HERE!!!! EVERYTHING IS FINE!!!! MOVE ON!!!

I took a few positions on the close even though we are just retracing off the old highs...

I know i could never sleep, and would spend all my time chasing moves if I wasn't at least a LITTLE SHORT

Very Exciting

I have stories talking about "Breakout" I have some of the more bearish guys taking off, after posting upside targets.....

this is all Very exciting...

I on the other hand, can't take one more minute of CNBC.

Euphoric

They sound Euphoric to me!

the nasty thing is that overnight, there were plenty of "Sell the news" Sentiment.

we could sell off, then Move back up Mid or end of the day....

It's a tough game.

NFP

consensus is -50K range is -100 to +30K

Some how there is a MEME that, I'm trying to get this right...

If it's low, it's because people didn't show up to their jobs during the snow storm. I'm not sure how the number is created, I'd assume it's the number of people on the Payroll, not distributions from the payroll.

but if it's good... it's good...

Sounds like a win win... in MEME land.

Of course the reason the Jobless claims was good, was because people couldn't get out to make their claims. Was that meme.

Chart....

I fucking hate this.....

always a good way to start a post, One of the reasons, I rationalize, not giving a shit, or not having a ton of traffic, is that I don't want it. Even worse is having some asshole Troll Like myself around. And worse, I'd have to sit around and point to useless osolators, and indicators, and throw some tea out, and try and explain it to you.
As opposed to just saying, This is where I want to try and take a risk.

To me, there are just these points, where "the risk is worth it." And it's one way or the other. But I don't have a problem being wrong.

The other thing, is It's not my job to Teach you, Nor do I feel like I have something to teach. Besides; read a ton of blogs, and see the patterns in what they think. Honestly I stick to what I see out of the swings, Let some winners roll, and kill losers. Anything dramatic happens, in my favor, Take some off.

We are not at an aggressive sell yet, but to keep it simple... you have an exhaustive move, or a completed wave count, then you have an inside day. End of the day was strong... but.....

But my rule, IN ALL CASES... IS STICK TO MY KNITTING

The 60-plus set can't afford to retire

Seventy-two percent of workers over the age of 60 who are putting off retirement are doing so because they can't afford it, according to a survey by Careerbuilder.com, a career resources website.

The results from the survey indicate more pessimism than in 2008, when about 60% of retirement-aged workers blamed the economy for delaying retirement.

Schools in England 'have 793,000 empty places
This comes as the Conservatives are proposing more parental choice by creating an additional 220,000 school places

A Labour spokesman says that adding an extra 220,000 places would mean paying for more than one million surplus places in the school system.

According to figures compiled by the group from media reports and wildlife authorities, captive elephants have killed 212 people - the majority of them mahouts - in the past 12 years in Kerala.

The group also reckons more than 1,000 elephants have died "due to torture" during the same period

Wildlife authorities have warned that "fatal mishaps in public places at an alarming [rate have] become a threat to public life".

Chart

inside day volume wasn't as weak as I'd like it to be, all the right people are optimistic, Meaning schlubs.

This was that "somebody knows something trade", not that they do, but they think that they do. Now again, I just think there is a downswing, I don't know how far down it goes. 30 spx... or schrug

charts
